MARVIN G. DONNEAUD
JANUARY 16, 1939 – FEBRUARY 7, 2012

He could fix anything, make anything better. He did this without much formal education. He was very talented. He continued to thrive for over 6 years after being diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2005. Then it took his life and his boundless gifts.

He was born in Rockford, Illinois and moved to California at 20 years old with his first wife Penny. They raised 2 daughters together and later divorced. He married Barbara in 1978. Together they saw a big chunk of the world, every continent except Antarctica. Travel was a real joy in their life. They chose to move to the Rogue Valley in 1991. He loved this place, especially their home on Old Military Road.

He was always employed in the automobile business, service department, body shop manager, sales. He also worked in material damage appraisal for an insurance company. He usually had 2 jobs since one of them was always working on his own home. He loved tools and having a big shop where everything had it’s own place. He would do projects for friends but not for money, just because he cared for them and wanted to do it right.

He was preceded in death by his parents Irma and Bernerd, his brother Leon, his daughter Michele, and his first wife Penny.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughter Cheri, his brother Ken, and his 2 cats Tucker and Sydney. His passing leaves a huge hole in the lives of so many. Before he died many of his friends stopped by for one last visit. Thank you. He will be cremated.
